Super cool style!
This look was taken from
Up2Date advertisement in FEMINA Magazine. Both the style of the model and the photoshot are stunning! By the way, I love the model's expression too... ;)

From Fall Winter 2010-2011 Collection
Amal Murad is a fashion abaya designer from Dubai, UAE. She launched her fashion abaya collection under the REDAA brand name. For this Fall-Winter, there are some gorgeous abaya in their collection.
And here's Redaa abaya I love from
Amal Murad's abayas collection:

So beautiful and sophisticated. Simple but in a perfect construction.
And I love how accessories were added. A good choice... a beautiful belt matched with the bag, and a pair of 'bling-bling' shoes. I think this abaya would be perfect for your 'Red Carpet' moment... :)

Fatima from Friniggi Sportswear, a new sportswear shop for Muslim women, emailed me about their first collection. The designs are in progress and she'd like to give us sneak-a-peek about Friniggi's first collection and would love to hear your feedback.
Here are the sketches. Remember that these designs fall under the copyright of FRINIGGI SPORTSWEAR.
Black and white sketch:
Colour Sketch:
According to Fatima,
"Friniggi focuses on developing a simple concept, fusing Islamic modesty, modern design and athletic performance.
The designs are made to be versatile garments that can be easily to be matched with any sportswear you may already have. The tops are long-sleeved and knee-length tops that can be worn over any track pants in your wardrobe, and no need to worry whether those pair of pants are too tight, because the tops cover everything.
Some items come with a matching hijab, but the design sketches above do not include the hijabs, and the colours schemes are just for illustrative purposes."
The designs look comfortable enough. I just want to add my opinion that I think it would be better if the tops' length is a bit above the knees, so it won't disturb/block our movement in sport activities and we can move more freely.
What do you think of Friniggi's sportswear designs? Love it? Hate it? Do you have any suggestions?
What kind of sportswear do you wish to have?

(Photos: Yannis Vlamos / GoRunway.com, via Style.com) After I read the
latest article on StyleCovered recently, I browsed
Michael van der Ham's Spring 2011 collection, and found that the collection is really such an inspiring thing!
The
'Mixed Plays' between mini - maxi, tight - flowing loose, different fabrics, and each solid colors, are sooo brilliant!
Style Inspiration for daily outfits: As a hijabi, to show the mixed length thing, we can do the reverse. Instead of wearing 'open' flowing maxi over mini, we can wear flowing loose mini over full-length classic-fit maxi! And use different solid color for each length to highlights the mix... :)

Vanessa Paradis and Keira Knightley
Super Tres Chic in Chanel...
I love their black blazers, the black high-waisted skirt wore by Vanessa, the chic knit Chanel dress wore by Keira, and the shoooes... (Vanessa wore Chanel's and Keira wore Miu Miu's). Effortlessly sophisticated!
For hijab-friendly look, just add the long of the dress/skirt to the ankles, cover up the open-bossom (as seen on Vanessa's look) by wear a white tank-top inside the white blouse or change the blouse into another white bow tied blouses that do not 'open-front', and put on the matching scarf over the head. It could be a gold, black, or white scarf. Or perhaps, a red or yellow scarf?
What do you think? Which color of hijab you will put on this look?
