Zeena's Winter Collection debut in beginning January 2012
Zeena, a modest chic women's clothing line, is about to launch its Winter collection.
I have been a fan of Zeena Clothing for some time and always excited to see what new design will come up with each of their new collection. What I love from Zeena's collection is that each of the pieces look comfortable to wear, well tailored, in pretty and trendy designs with the urban chic style.
Below are "never before seen" pictures and products of Zeena's Winter collection:
I love each of these pieces, and it will be a stylish yet demure way to warm out your days..
The button-up hoody, which will be available in 3 colors.
A scarf and a green necklace, as a part of the new Scarf and Jewelry collection.
Leopard Neck-scarf, which is a part of the new neck-scarf collection.
These pieces are starting their debuts today, on January 8th, 2012.
You can see them out on Zeena's site: www.simplyzeena.com; They are ready to style up your look! ;)
SilkRoute Jilbab/Abaya Design Competition 2011: Get ready to vote!
Some of you perhaps have submitted your design's sketches for 2011 StyleIn! SilkRoute Jilbab Design Competition. August 1st, 2011 is the last day to submit the design's sketches. After that, you can vote for your favorite design. Your votes also will determine the winner.
So, before you vote, take a peek in the gallery here where you can see all participants' designs.
I have taken my time to look at the gallery, and I was stunned by many amazing designs. You all are so creative! :)
The Jazmina by Antonia from USA is one of my favorites. I love the concept, the usefulness and the practicality of her design. Also, her design reminds me of a kind of jilbab or coat my sister has been looking for.
Have you visit the StyleIn! Competition's gallery? Which one is your favorite?
Or, did you submit your own designs? If you did, please share the link (in StyleIn! gallery) to your design.. here in the comment section, so my lovely readers and I can take a look and vote for your design if we love it.. ^_^
Soon, there will be one more option to choose hijabs...
Indonesia, as one of the hubs for Muslimah Fashion and has many creative talented Islamic Fashion designers, is growing fast to show off to the world what the distinctive styles it has. Irna Mutiara, as one of the designers (designer of Irna la Perle), just launched her style blog for her NEW scarves' design, Ina's Scarf.
The scarves she design will be using local products craftmenship, such as, woven fabrics, knitting, batik, and handprints.
I'm so glad that the brand pointed out the Indonesian distinctive tradition style which is so famous for its rich and bold colors, unique fabrics and prints...
Combined with Irna Mutiara's creativity and edgy kind of style in design, hopefully this brand will contribute to the wide selection of quality hijabs for Muslim women, and also will make us, Indonesian people, proud on their own tradition/culture.

Ina's scarf will be launching soon and the scarves collection can be bought online. Now the site is still under construction. Join their Facebook page and tweets to get updates about this brand.
I'm excited to see what Ina's Scarf will come up with... ^^
Fatima from Friniggi Sportswear, a new sportswear shop for Muslim women, emailed me about their first collection. The designs are in progress and she'd like to give us sneak-a-peek about Friniggi's first collection and would love to hear your feedback.
"Friniggi focuses on developing a simple concept, fusing Islamic modesty, modern design and athletic performance.
The designs are made to be versatile garments that can be easily to be matched with any sportswear you may already have. The tops are long-sleeved and knee-length tops that can be worn over any track pants in your wardrobe, and no need to worry whether those pair of pants are too tight, because the tops cover everything.
Some items come with a matching hijab, but the design sketches above do not include the hijabs, and the colours schemes are just for illustrative purposes."
The designs look comfortable enough. I just want to add my opinion that I think it would be better if the tops' length is a bit above the knees, so it won't disturb/block our movement in sport activities and we can move more freely.
What do you think of Friniggi's sportswear designs? Love it? Hate it? Do you have any suggestions?
Few days ago one of my favorite style blogs, My Daily Life, featured Bimba & Lola's presentation of their new Fall/Winter 2010 collection in Madrid.
Below is the preview of their new collection: The style of the tops are very chic and modest. You can used it as your style inspiration for the coming Fall/Winter; Just add a long skirt or a pair of pants, and put on the headscarf.
But for today, in these hot Summer days, we need to leave the Fur Coat... :). Without the coat, we still can follow this style, but make sure you are wearing a long-sleeved top. Or, if you're wearing a short/no-sleeved top, replace the fur coat with your light-weight breathable Summer jacket or a cotton long-sleeved shirt as a jacket. Choose khaki colors to match this style.
Vela was founded by Marwa Atik and Nora Diab, Hijab Designers in America.
At first, their brand name is Marwa & Nora Co., and then they officially changed it to Vela. The word 'vela' came from the word 'veil', which is derived from the Latin term "Vela" meaning veils.
Vela designs 3 seasonal collections: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Each of their seasonal collections comes with about 15 new pieces and also a selection of their best sellers. Vela's collection are designed and handmade by Marwa and Nora themself. Notice that these girls are designers, so they don't do custom orders... the only custom orders they do is for Bridal Collection.
Vela has a mission to create and design fashionable/unique hijabs. They said:
"Almost every Middle Eastern country has a certain style and way to wear the Hijab, and now its time to show them what Muslim Americans can come up with!"
Vela scarves can be used multipurposely. The scarves are made to be worn as Hijabs as well as used to be worn around the neck. They also offer an internationally shipping for overseas orders.
You could take a sneak in Vela's Pre Spring 2010 Collection that's coming out in a month on their Facebook Album. Here is the collections.
For more info and how to order, send email to: marwaandnora@gmail, with the title of the scarf and quantity. Also if you have any questions or comments, send in to the email address.
