Last week, I attended a Fashion Lunch held in Yogyakarta in regard to Kartini's Day, and watched the Fashion Show. The show was divided into two session. First the 'Kebaya' (traditional women clothing in Indonesia) Fashion Show by several designers in Yogyakarta, then continued by Muslimah Bridal Fashion Show by the students of UNY.
Here are some pictures of Bridal Fashion Show I took from the show. The make-up, clothing, headdresses styles, and hijab accessories/jewelries were influenced by Middle East and Javanese Traditional Brides.
When Fashion meets Tradition :: Inspired by the elegance and glamour of Arabian women
Few days ago I was contacted to introduce JAWAHER, a new initiative from SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS, and was invited to visit their page on facebook. I was so pleased when I saw beautiful photoshoots and gorgeous things made with Swarovski crystals on their page. They claimed that Jawaher's collection was made to celebrates the elegance and glamour of Arabian women today.
Jawaher (or "jewel" in English) fuse Swarovski crystals with Middle Eastern attire. According to them,
Jawaher highlights the fashion connoisseur in the Middle East with pieces that have been created by world-renowned designers using crystal as a creative material to show a light fuelled allure.
The designers, including Allessanra Rich, Sohad Acouri, Zaid Anton and more, have all sought out to create items to reflect the kind of glamorous lifestyle we all aspire to have, while still keeping with Middle Eastern tradition.
A black hooded abaya, sunglasses, kaftans, abayas, and dresses, belts, bracelets, necklaces, shoes, purses, and head/hijab accessories.

Headbands... surely can be wore as a hijab accessories. There are hundreds of beautiful headbands and hair accessories, even jewelries like necklace and clip earings, can be used to accessorize your hijab, so you can make your hijabs look adorable... :)
Recently TopShop's official Blog, Inside-Out, was featuring Little Fille’s latest project - 30 Days of Headbands. Mari Santos, the designer on Little Fille, has taken it upon herself to create a brand new and unbelievably cute headband for every day of this month. It could be a chic knotted band or a beaded bow grip. Any of them would make your summer's hijab looks chic... ^_^
Beautiful hijab accessories from Irna Mutiara, one of Indonesian Designers. I think the above accessories are only suitable for special occassion like wedding, engagement, glamorous party, etc.
But, the first picture below looks a bit simple and isn't too big, so perhaps it can be an accessories for stylish, everyday wear.

For everyday wear, I think using bandana as a hijab accessories is a good idea to spice up our style. Check my post about "accessorizing your headscarf" for more options on hijab accessories.
It has a 'bun' accent on the head. To get this 'bun' accent, you can used your own hair. Just tie your hair and then roll it up on the back, a bit on top, of your head, but not too high. Or, wear a bonnet/underscarf which has an imitation 'bun', a clothed wrap with some kind of sponge/cotton inside, integrated to the bonnet. (Bonnets with a 'bun' are available in many hijab stores in Java, Indonesia).
It uses such kind of jersey fabric headscarf as the basic layer.
And then, add any accessories or layer you want, such as tulle, beads, bandana, etc.

Accessories, such as: brooches, necklaces, long earrings, pins, ribbons, imitation or fresh flowers (orchid, lilies, roses, sunflower) could spice up your hijab looks.
If you have a pair of, or just one, long earrings, necklace, or flowery bandana, you could use it as an accessories for your hijab/headscarf. I usually use brooches, necklaces, ribbons, or long earrings, as the accessories on my headscarf... ^_^
Or, you could spice up your hijab looks by doing some layering stuff, using double scarves or adding ribbon, headband, hat, imitation flower, etc.

The way I put these accessories:
Long earrings: Just wrap your headscarf as usual and then wear the earrings the way we normally wear on our ears, just put into the earring-hole on your ears. And because the earrings are long, they could show up out of your hijab.
If you wear one earring on one of your ears, it would look like a brooch on your neck... ;)
Necklace: Just put the necklace around your head. Try to fit the necklace to your head size. Then, pin the necklace with hijab pins, so it would stick on your headscarf.
My favorite is my magnetic necklace, I don't have to pin it on my headscarf, just put it around my head and the necklace will easily to tighten around my head to fit it up, and the necklace's chains will stick to each other because of its magnetic wave.
